The Inaugural Tasmania Trimble Golf Cup

UPG, SITECH and Trimble bring Tasmania’s industry together at Launceston Golf Club

Tasmania Trimble Golf Cup briefing

On 4 September 2026, UPG, SITECH and Trimble proudly hosted the inaugural Tasmania Trimble Golf Cup at Launceston Golf Club, bringing together professionals from Tasmania’s civil construction, surveying, geospatial and infrastructure sectors for a day of networking, innovation and friendly competition.

The event was designed to showcase the breadth of the Trimble ecosystem while creating opportunities for customers, partners and industry leaders to connect in a relaxed environment.

Nine holes, nine tech demos

The 9-hole Ambrose format featured technology demonstrations at every tee, giving attendees the chance to experience hands-on solutions including:

• Trimble Access• Trimble Connect• WorksManager• SiteVision• Siteworks
• Monitoring• Scanning• Hydrographic Surveying• Drone Technologies• Machine Guidance

The format allowed participants to see how connected geospatial and construction workflows are helping businesses improve productivity, accuracy and collaboration across the project lifecycle.

Beyond the technology, the day was a fantastic opportunity for professionals from different disciplines to come together, exchange ideas and build new relationships. With representatives from surveying, civil construction, engineering and technology organisations across Tasmania, the event delivered exactly what it set out to achieve: bringing industry together while showcasing the latest innovations available to the market.

And the silverware goes to….

Congratulations to the joint winning teams, PDA Surveyors, Engineers & Planners and 3Draw, who shared top honours and took home the silverware after a tightly contested competition.
