Trimble Dimensions wrap up
Last week, over 4000 people descended on Las Vegas for Trimble Dimensions, Trimble’s User Conference held every two years. This is the largest crowd yet for a Dimensions conference and we were overwhelmed by the number of Australasians who made the trip to find out how Trimble technology is transforming how the world works. Alongside fellow Australian and New Zealand Trimble dealerships, we were accompanied by over 100 customers from the South Pacific.
Here’s a Trimble Dimensions wrap up, insights from the Geospatial division, pictures and links through to all the news.
The direction of the Geospatial industry
Trimble’s Vice President of Geospatial – Erik Arvesan talks about the direction of the Geospatial industry and the role of Trimble Technology:
“2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created globally each day. I spoke to one survey firm in Europe recently, and on global mapping job that they recently accomplished created more data than the previous combined 20 years of his company’s existence.
“Authoritative geospatial data is the foundation of any big decision taken on construction and agriculture projects, and highlights how Trimble software platforms and technology is helping customers make sense of the huge volume of this data, while, at the same time, saving them vital costs on projects by providing accurate and thorough geospatial data in quick time.
“Our strategy at Trimble Geospatial is to move from the field where geospatial data is created into the office, providing the complete solution.”
