CSV Golf Day

UPG hosted nearest to the Pin on Hole 6.

UPG used the Trimble Sitevision which utilises lidar and a cm accurate GNSS receiver to accurately measure the ball location.

We would like to congratulate Cameron from Lyssna for managing to get 2.57 metres away from the pin on one of the fastest greens we have ever seen.

How did it work?

Trimble SiteVision combines centimetre-accurate GNSS with lidar mapping to capture the exact ball locations. The GNSS receiver ensures precise positioning, while lidar accurately maps the terrain, allowing every shot to be measured down to the centimetre—perfect for these challenging greens!

On top of that, SiteVision’s on-site augmented reality (AR) visualisation brings 3D data to life, allowing users to see and interact with models in real-world environments.

Golfers could even better assess their putts by visualising the slope and contours of the greens in real time, giving them an edge on these lightning-fast surfaces.
