Trimble survey software and Windows 10
When a new program is created it is rigorously tested with the current operating systems available. However when a new operating system is released many programs aren’t able to be tested until after the release. This is the case with Trimble survey software and the new version of Windows – Windows 10.
A thorough test of Trimble survey software with Windows 10 is currently underway and until this is complete Trimble is recommending delay upgrading your Windows operating system. Microsoft has announced that the free upgrade offer is available for one year, so we suggest taking your time in making this decision.
With the Windows 10 upgrade, please be aware that the upgrade notification may appear as a pop-up that reads “upgrade to Windows 10” in the bottom right corner of your screen. Be wary of what you are agreeing to because an accidental click could result in trouble with your surveying software.
If you have already installed the Windows upgrade you may notice some glitches when using the Trimble survey software. Trimble is working to ensure these are fixed in the next release of software updates.
